1. Who is responsible
This policy explains how Prufling processes your personal data when you use the service. If you have questions or want to exercise your rights, contact us using the details in the final section.
2. What we collect
When you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address, and profile photo. We store your interface language, your target exam, and your exam date if you provide one. As you practise, we store your answers and results. For speaking practice, we process a short audio recording of your response.
3. Why we process it (legal basis)
We process this data to provide the service you request — running practice sessions, generating feedback, and tracking your readiness — on the basis of our contract with you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). We do not sell your personal data.
4. Speaking audio
Your speaking audio is used only to score that practice session. We never use it to identify you as an individual. Audio is deleted after scoring or within 30 days at the latest. We do not reuse your audio to train models unless you give separate, explicit consent.
5. AI processing
Writing and speaking feedback is produced with the help of automated models, which may run through third-party processors acting on our instructions under data-processing agreements. All such feedback is an estimate, clearly labeled as such, and is not an official exam result.
6. Retention
We keep account and practice data while your account is active. Speaking audio is deleted as described above. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data except where we must retain limited records to meet legal obligations.
7. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you can request access to your data, correction, deletion, a copy of it, or restriction of processing, and you can object to certain processing. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
8. Cookies
We use a strictly necessary, HTTP-only session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
