Which exams the Goethe-Institut offers in Tashkent

Goethe-Institut Uzbekistan holds the Goethe-Zertifikat exams from A1 to C2, as well as Fit in Deutsch 1 and 2, TestDaF and Goethe-Test PRO.[1] More detail on each level: A1, A2, B1, B2.

Registration: step by step

  1. Create a MeinGoethe account. Registration is online only, through my.goethe.de.[1] Have your account and personal details ready before the booking day.

    • B1 — 10:00
    • B2 — 11:00
    • C1 and C2 — 12:00
One person can book only one place.[1]
  3. Choose a date and book. Available dates are published on the exam pages; for example, the A1 dates page lists the 2026 exams and the sessions in Fergana and Urgench.[4]
  4. Pay on time. By Visa or Mastercard — within 30 minutes of booking; by UzCard or Humo — within 24 hours.[1]
  5. Take the exam and wait for the result. Results come in 10–14 days.[1]
  6. Get the certificate. Since August 2024 certificates have been issued in digital form. Since May 2025 a paper copy costs 300 000 so'm for the full exam and 100 000 so'm for a single module.[1]

Prices

The Goethe-Institut Tashkent price list valid from 1 May 2025 (checked on 4 October 2026):[2]

Extra: a paper copy of the certificate costs 300 000 so'm (full exam) or 100 000 so'm (single module).[1]

B1 is a modular exam, so the price is also set per module. For example, if you pass the full B1 except for one module, an external candidate pays 800 000 so'm to retake just that module. That is why it is worth checking your readiness module by module before paying for the full exam.

Prices can change. Check the current price list on the Goethe-Institut page before you pay.

Centres outside Tashkent

The Goethe-Institut Uzbekistan page lists the following licensed centres for A1–B2 exams:[3]

CityCentreExam frequency

UrgenchBerliner Sprachschuleevery 2 months
FerganaDaF Sprachzentrumevery 3 months

Regional centres hold exams less often: in Karshi, for example, only once every 4 months. If you need a certificate by a fixed deadline, find out the next date at the centre nearest to you in good time and, if necessary, also consider a date in Tashkent.

Samarkand is not on this list. An alternative for people in Samarkand: ÖSD announced on 30 August 2024 that an "Easy German" ÖSD exam centre had opened in Samarkand.[6] ÖSD Zertifikat B1 is the same exam as Goethe-Zertifikat B1. The telc-usbekistan.com website also states that a telc centre operates in Tashkent, Samarkand and Fergana; we could not verify its telc licence on telc.net, so confirm this before you register.[7] On the telc format: telc Deutsch A1 and A2.
